Welcome to the ASHA Study website! I’m Dr. Rahul Chanchlani, a pediatric nephrologist and clinical researcher in the Division of Nephrology at McMaster Children’s Hospital, Hamilton, Canada. Our team brings together researchers, doctors, patient partners, students, and volunteers—all committed to understanding and improving the health of South Asian children. Through the ASHA Study, we’re focusing on key lifestyle factors that impact blood pressure in South Asian children in Canada, aiming to build knowledge that will shape healthier futures for them.
